Transform Your Furniture With New Fabric

This sofa had a beautiful shape and was the perfect size for our client's guest bedroom. However, the heavily embroidered gold fabric and nail head trim did not fit the look she wanted for her guests. We recovered the frame of the sofa in a soft green velvet and the cushions were covered in a coordinating damask. The details were an important change too. We kept the "waterfall" skirt but changed out the nail heads with a double welting, adding an elegant touch. The softer colors revealed the unique shape of the sofa.

This reupholstered chair passed the inspection of Krista and her cat. For an updated look, we eliminated the tufting and added a skirt. The dark red fabric was replaced with a bright red plaid with a very faint teal line from Thibaut. This new look coordinates better with the room.

As shared by a Color Wheel Décor Department customer:
Kimberleigh was the perfect guide in my efforts to have an old chair both repaired and reupholstered. The chair belonged to my Grandmother and I grew up with it in my parent's home. I can remember both Mom and Dad sitting on it in various important events/conversations. When they passed on and we sold their house, I knew I wanted it in my house, but the leg broke during transport.

I visited Color Wheel to find out what my options were, as they had upholstered some throw pillows for me in the past. I met Kimberleigh during my first visit and she was so helpful! She talked me through what I was thinking on color and fabric, volunteered to find someone who could repair the broken leg, and to be the “middle” person with the upholsterer and repairperson.
